Product Description

Bilingual Baby is a revolutionary series of learning DVDs that exposes young children to the world of a second language - a precious gift that will stay with them forever. Each Bilingual Baby DVD introduces over 60 words and phrases by completely immersing your child in the new language. The child will always hear only one language to give them maximum exposure to the sounds syntax and structure of the new language. Additionally the same words and phrases are shown on-screen in large text in the new language to reinforce the lesson. For parents there are small on-screen guide words in English (so as not to distract the child) and extra time after sentences to allow for translation. The Bilingual Baby DVDs are reality-based presenting everyday objects that any child can recognize and are a part of their world such as puppies toys and lots of other children. Give your child the life-long benefit of learning a second language with the Bilingual Baby DVD series. For ages from 1 - 5 years. Rating: NR

This DVD is slow and kind of boring. But it does have a variety of words it introduces your child to and has relaxing classical music in the background. It is also the only Italian Child DVD around that shows the words on the screen as well as saying them. Also the woman narrating sounds native.

Good, but I wish there were more July 12 2011

The video is about 45 minutes long and will play on a loop in your DVD player. Very basic ideas (a few nouns, verbs, colors, and numbers), which is good for little ones (or even for non-Italian speaking parents), but does include examples of gender/number agreement. My 1-year old was glued to the TV for over a half hour. The video images are kids, parents, and pets doing things a baby is likely to see. All in all, it's a great program, but certainly isn't enough on its own to make anyone bilingual.

I'm finding it really hard to find decent foriegn-language materials for my baby (unless I wanted her to learn Spanish, of course). If anyone has suggestions, please write about them.

Great Itaian CD for a baby Oct. 7 2012

I think this CD is great for babies who are learning Italian. It has the format of videos who teach babies words by showing them images with music in the background. Plus it has real Italian speakers in it. My older kid (3 years - already speaks Italian) gets bored with it.

A decent Italian DVD April 11 2013

It's been really hard to find Italian DVD's for my 16 month year old and this is one of the few we came across. The DVD is a bit dated and repetitive but my son enjoys it. Not sure how much he's actually getting out of it. Only time will tell.

It was ok for the baby, but it is short and very basic. For the price I feel it could have delivered a bit more.
