Film, ideally is about story telling. Some are good and this is very good.Many are told and the topics seemed to be numbered...and it can be really unique....BE is about a boy and if it was not for the dance... it would not have stood out... there was contrast.Dance is delicate and mining is rough...The result was a very good story and it did help that it was not too disimilar to Jamie Bell's story...and it was also timely being a peroid film.... M. Thatcher, the iron lady. It goes well with other "boy" stories e.g. A Boy and His Dog, About a Boy, and Dear Frankie...

What's not to like about this film. It is a masterpiece in every way. It shows that a boy can participate in something that is generally reserved for girls and not be a homosexual. In fact Billy's friend was there to show that Billy was not gay but that he accepted his friend for who he was. It showed that even the most intolerant of parents can be turned to support their child once they see how much it means to them and what talent they have, even in the worst situations. All the performances where great from the adults to the kids. Jamie Bell was a master a "Billy". I'm glad to see that he has become an A-list British actor and that he is getting so many starring roles. He deserves it, his acting is golden. 10/10 all around for this move, which in my book is a timeless classic with a great message, and a must watch for anyone with an ounce of tolerance.

Is amazing, really beautifull, it works great :P. The only thing is that the digital copy just can be downloaded from USA and Canada, but i just use a proxy and it works.The package was perfect, the DVD and Blu-Ray works fine. I love it. 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful

Billy Elliot is definitely one of my favorite movies--another reviewer asked, "What's not to like?" My answer to that: nothing. Unless, of course, it makes you uncomfortable to watch a young boy dance or witness his best friend growing into his homosexuality. ;)This movie is a wonderful coming-of-age story about a boy from a working class family who realizes that his dream is to dance, despite his brother's and his father's wishes. Billy Elliot has it's funny, awkward, and uncomfortable moments, but overall it is absolutely heart-warming tale about a young man and the family dynamics that play into him chasing his dreams. |
