At first i thought billy talent was just another band. i thought they were a cliche` screamo band, but looking back i feel stupid 'cause i never acually listend to them. so if you think billy talent is the same as hedly and a ton of other bands, i suggest you give them a chance.
First off i should say that you might not like it, alot of people don't but the thing is every song is about equal. in my opinion every single song is good so if you've heard one song you like you'll live the entire disc.
One thing i love about this cd is the guitar riffs. all the way from front to back are awsome riffs. not one song has a weak or boring one. thats one more thing that makes each song amazing.
As strong as the guitar is the vocal melodie is what makes or breaks a song, and they somehow hit it home EVERY time. each song has just amazing vocals, it's wierd. you can tell the lyrics come fisrt with billy talent wich is why some of the songs on billy talent 2 are weaker. i think they might have gotten lucky even, none of the songs sound the same or even sound 'billy talent' like. so it dosen't get old or boring or forgotten.
To conclude this review i would have to say either you hate every song, don't care about it at all or love it to death. i assure you you won't only like one or two of the songs (if you like it at all) and have it sink to the bottom of your cd pile.
because right now it's at the very top of mine.

Billy Talent has always been my favourite band since the release of this album years ago..

Firstly, every song on this album is brilliant. Unlike most albums where there are atleast two songs (often more) where you think this song is horrible, what were they thinking when they wrote this EVERY SINGLE SONG ON THIS ALBUM IS GOOD. It's as close to a perfect album as I have ever witnessed!!

Billy Talent has recently released their second album, Billy Talent II, which they sure took their time on. As a result they have produced again an awesome collection of songs which I recommend also. However I favour their first album as all the songs are simply brilliant.

My favourites include
"try honesty" Simply good.
"the ex" Fun, energetic song.
"line and sinker"
"nothing to lose" AWESOME song, a quiet one. Brilliantly written and played.
"this is how it goes"
"prisoners of today"

GO BUY THIS AWESOME ALBUM FROM A TALENTED, INNOVATIVE, BRILLIANT BAND.

This is a great album, and it really shows how much effort they put into making all the songs. There isn't a song on this album that i don't like. They all have the exact same style of sound. As good as this album is, i'm extremele bored of it, because i've listened to it so many times. It's time to make a new album guys!
