5.0 out of 5 stars Wow,, Mar 15 2006
This review is from: The Binding Stone: The Dragon Below, Book 1 (Mass Market Paperback)
Just finished The Binding Stone and let me tell you, this is one great book. I like adventure stories like this one and it didn't let me down. The action is great and the characters are ones you want to root for. Great Job!!

If you like this book, might I suggest another I've recently come arcoss. The Unsuspecting Mage by Brian S. Pratt. It's another fantasy adventure sure to please. I highly reccomend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, fast-paced fantasy!, Aug 19 2010
This review is from: The Binding Stone: The Dragon Below, Book 1 (Mass Market Paperback)
With an engrossing story that keeps you hooked, interesting characters and a writing style that won't put you to sleep (okay, maybe it's just me, but I can't stand long-winded Tolkien-style descriptions), this book pleasantly surprised me. I had only read one Eberron book before and never heard of the author, but it's probably the best fantasy book I've read this year!

Don Bassingthwaite just gets Eberron's nuances, and is able to weave a great tale of ancient magic and clashing feelings.
This book, along with Keith Baker's City of Towers, is a book I hand to new D&D players who want to learn more about the Eberron Setting, and they always find it to be an engaging and engrossing read.
