5.0 out of 5 stars I love this EP! (and you will too!), April 23 2006
What we have here is seven interesting, diverse, well written songs that will hold your attention. Birds of Wales has given us a little bit of everything - bluesy-rock with a bit of a punkish feel social commentary ("Fall of the 49"); rock-pop songs on life lessons and growth ("Life," "T-shirt"); beautiful, passionate and creative love songs ("My Lady; in July," "Everynight"); some musical experimentation ("Sicamous"); and a fun, folksy ballad ("The Fine Art of Ballet Dancing").

The song writing and musical arrangements are impressive with meaningful lyrics that speak to everyone's heart and mind. I promise that you will relate to the truths of our world, lives and loves that these songs express - no matter who you are. The quality and diversity of these songs and performances would be impressive on any album, never mind a band's first indie album - wow! I can't wait for more!

Get in early on a good thing. You won't regret it. Birds of Wales is definitely heading for bigger and better things!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant Surprise, Mar 22 2006
A friend recommended this band to me. Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised to discover this gem. Elements of indie-rock, pop, even folk have moments on the disk. Best 5 bucks I've spent this year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, Mar 22 2006
By Natalie F Hakim (Toronto, Ontario Canada) - See all my reviews
I've seen these guys play and they're equally as good live as they are on the CD. If you like indie rock I highly recommend you add this to your collection. The keyboardist is totally hot by the way haha. Enjoy!
