When I first purchased this vacuum, I thought it would be perfect. I have two dogs, and was glad that there was a fairly inexpensive vacuum that addressed the concerns of a pet owner. In the beginning, I was fairly impressed with the results: the power head on the vacuum, in combination with the velcro strip, made for efficient pet hair removal on carpet. The stair attachment with its own power head also was a plus. The vacuum itself isn't all that maneuverable, and it's quite heavy, but I was willing to overlook those flaws, since, at first, it cleaned quite well.

Now, here I am, only two years later, and I'm ready to throw the entire thing in the dumpster. Ironically, the very thing the vacuum is designed to combat (ie: pet hair) is the very thing that has foiled the usefulness of it. There are SEVERAL filters all over the vacuum that get constantly clogged (I clean out each one after each use, otherwise the vacuum completely loses suction). The stair attachment, that was so wonderful at first, is completely useless, unless I want to get out the screwdriver every couple of weeks to take it apart to extricate the pet hair that has gotten caught, which renders the power head inoperative. Plus, suddenly at the two year point, pieces have been breaking off of the vacuum. The tab that holds the upholstery brush when not in use has cracked, so now the brush drops off the unit as I'm vacuuming. One of the tabs that holds the "dual cyclonic" filter has broken off. And, most annoying of all, the lever that holds the unit upright when not in use is now broken, so I have to store it leaning against the wall in my closet, or lay it out flat when I want to use one of the attachments, otherwise it falls over violently.

In my own defense, I haven't abused this vacuum at all.

The vacuum works great! Better than we'd hoped. The only downside to this vacuum is that you need to clean it out after every use. At a glance the thing looks empty but it picks up so much each time that a clean-out is necessary. Also clean the long hair off the beater bar each time.
Don't let this stop you though. If you don't mind the upkeep this is a great vacuum!

I will be returning this vacuum after using it 3 times. The design isn't well thought out. For instance, if you use the pet hair attachment, hair will inevitably wind up stuck in the brush. But to clean the brush, you need to remove 2 screws. I can't imagine doing this every time. Besides that, I find it takes several passes over the same area, up to 10, to remove the pet hair. Even then, a lot is left behind. Lastly, it doesn't clean hard wood floors very well, and that's a deal breaker.

Furniture brush attachments actually spin. Fairly light, has a HEPA filter. Good suction but have only had about a month.
