Anyone considering this should look further. It's of very poor quality. I bought this to replace an Apple branded case of similar design. The original lasted several years - this lasted a couple of months and was not near the same quality. That said, the thing only cost $4.00....you truly get what you pay for!

The product itself is fine. I have a pretty small arm, however, and I found that the band was too long. There wasn't enough velcro for me to make it small enough. Other than that, though, no problems

perfect for working out and holding ipod in place.
Not well made, broke April 5 2014

The clear plastic part started coming out and completely off the arm band after a couple of workouts. Definitely not a good product. Also, arm band doesn't stay on very well when lifting weights, etc. Seems cheaply made.
Not worth the money Dec 10 2013

I was really stoked how affordable this was but honestly it's made cheaply too. I guess you get what you pay for. The stitching comes loose very easily and the velcro arm fastener is not only fairly small but comes undone if it's bumped or rubbed at all. It ended up at the bottom of my gym bag unused. Frankly, I should have saved the money. I had better luck sticking my iPod in my sports bra.
Tabs come off Nov. 13 2013
By Tim Hibbetts - Published on Amazon.com
After having it for about a month, using it a few times a week, the main tab I'd been using to secure it came off of the strap. It was glued on and I had to sew it back on. This didn't help a whole lot. Also, inexplicably, there are scratchy tabs where they rub against your skin if you aren't careful. I'm not sure about the design decision there.
I'm looking for a new solution.
Works for my needs with a few modifications - Good value. Oct. 24 2013

I got tired of reaching into my pocket while riding my bike to change volume or songs so I decided to pick up one of these stylish arm bands that all the cool kids at the gym have been sporting for years. Now I can be safe AND cool.

It's made of some strange, rubbery, almost neoprene type material that sort of a velvet texture. Classy.
The velcro dots seem to be fused to the band which means that they will not inconveniently become detached while running or biking. But they are spaced too far apart. I can't seem to get it wrapped around my arm to remain snug. I prefer to wear it around my wrist so I can see it while riding. I added a few more velcro dots to get exactly the right size.

The pouch holds my iPod securely. The clear plastic cover is pretty thick and would certainly shed water sprinkles nicely, certainly not waterproof but good enough. To make it easier to navigate, I cut a circle in the cover over the click wheel. It suits my needs perfectly now.
