I was expecting better quality, the buttons are made from cheap plastic and sometime get stuck, but overall it does the work.

2.0 out of 5 stars Short life-span July 1 2012

Our model of this has died after 3 years. Doesn't seem like much of a life-span. Black and Decker doesn't sell parts for it, so it looks like I'm going to have to shell out for a new one. Underwhelmed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy! Nov 15 2011
I bought this to make smoothies (which I thought was a good idea considering it said "makes great smoothies" right on the box....). It's really irritating to use because air pockets form around the blades all the time. It's like the container is too narrow at the bottom where the blades are and the fruit can't get far enough down to actually get blended. I'm constantly having to shake it or stop the blending and mix the fruit mixture up by hand to try and force the fruit to the bottom. I do not recommend.
