DIY instruction just gets better and better,

I've been a carpenter for 40 years and I wish I had books like this when I was doing my apprenticeship. Instruction has come a long way for the trades, and books like this can only help.It also lets the customer see whats involved in a renovation. Well worth the money.

Bought this book to help my wife and I to teach us how to remove old roof and install new roof. So far from what I have read, this is a great book! Lots of pictures and detailed instructions.However,even though this book covers metal roofing it lacks in my opinion the details needed by a novice as myself to do the job myself. Helpful. Helps clue you in if you have never done roofing or siding work before. Won't magically turn you into a tradesperson (nothing can without on-the-job experience), but will clue you in on how stuff is done. I imagine that even people in the trade might benefit from it, if only to see variations on the way that their own company does things.
