A young lady's maid named Rowena is sent to spy on Prince Nicholas one of the heirs of the fictional European kingdom. Her employer believes Nicholas is guilty of regicide and sends her maid to find out the truth. Rowena disguises herself as a nanny and works for him, eventually falling for him while undercover.
This wasn't my favorite Manga. First of all, the plot device of the missing king is not resolved in this novel and there is a cliff-hanger type ending. Second, the story ends with kind of abruptly.
Finally, Rowena was just kind of irksome. She's too perfect, always faithful to Nicholas and her boss, a perfect nanny (despite no indication of any experience at it), and yes despite having a 'bad' reputation, still a virgin. I much prefer characters with a few flaws. Rowena is a Mary Sue.
Nicholas was likewise one of those annoying romance heroes who refuses to trust because he has had a bad experience with women, and so this comes into play a few times in the story.
The pencils weren't as good as some of the other manga I've read. Prince Nicholas wasn't drawn very well and his face and large lips look odd to me for manga-style.
I've read better, and I'd recommend you try some of the other manga I've reviewed first. Like Married Under the Italian Sun and To Marry McAllister.
