Product Description

Album Description

A stunning three CD collection to mark the 25th Anniversary of Blade Runner. Featuring previously unreleased music from the film, bonus tracks and a brand new album of Vangelis material inspired by the film. Sleeve notes written by Ridley Scott. Disc One features the original and remastered soundtrack as it first appeared in 1994, twelve years after the film was released. Disc Two contains all the remaining music from the film that did not appear on the original 1994 soundtrack, plus two bonus tracks ('One Alone' and 'Desolation Path'). None of this material has been released before. Disc Three contains an entire album of newly written material composed by Vangelis to mark the 25th anniversary of Blade Runner. The music is strong and flowing, and retains the dark, atmospheric sense of the original score. UMTV.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like tears in the rain..., Jan 20 2008

This is absolutely the best sountrack CD I have ever heard. The film itself was recently rated as the best sci-fi picture of all time, and I think a lot has to do with the magnificent, futuristic soundscape by the reclusive Vangelis. The best feature for me is that they included some of the dialogue, which puts each piece of the music into it's place in the film. It's totally brilliant...just like the film.

5.0 out of 5 stars A master piece, April 5 2011
This review is from: Blade Runner Trilogy (Audio CD)
The two extra disc are fantastic. It ways worth it to own. It is the kind of music that you can't stop listening over and over again. That is how I recognize a masterpiece. It may only be a little bit difficult to listen at first, because it is totally new music from Vangelis. The disc #2 (black) is only instrumental with very nice futuristic sounds, from the film mostly. The third disc (blue) is exceptionally outstanding with very hight quality sound, and very emotive ambience, as always from Vangelis. Superb!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, Dec 16 2008

This is an awful CD collection. I love Vangelis and was expecting to find distinct tracks in the Vangelis style. Not so. There is barely enough worthwhile material here for 1 CD but certainly not for 3. I would like to get my money back. If Vangelis "Voices" rates a 10, then this compilation would rates less than a 1.
