Good shipping, nice dvd . For vampire fan, an Blade fan only if you have open mind ! Not the same of Blade dvd movie, but intersting ... only bad thing about this dvd... it's the only season !

Blade the series was a spin off of the Blade movies based on the Marvel comic that aired on Spike TV for one season but never really got the attention it deserved, this set is that complete first and only season. It may be a little hard to find but it's a great collection for fans of the movies. The show was never really given a fair shot from the network that almost never promoted it or hard core fans that were not happy with some of the changes that were made in storylines or casting choices but slowly it really did become a great show. The main actors Kirk Jones and the so,so hot Jill Wagner really start growing into their roles and even for a TV series ,it had some great action pieces. If there's any real problem i have, it's that the show ended with a great cliffhanger that was never resolved because the show was canceled, a VERY big letdown but hits at what could have come..

I totally looked forward to Wednesday nights on SpikeTV for Blade: The Series! It was a fun show which kept true to the Blade movies and even added some fun along the way. With the budget that Spike had to make this series it did a fantastic job! It left me wanting more after every episode! I couldn't believe that it had to be cancelled because it got too expensive for Spike to produce. I wish it got picked up by someone else. The acting was more than adequate, and the special effects and fight scenes were great! I was waiting for the Season release on DVD, and now that it is around the corner I will be purchasing it the day it comes out! All the nay-sayers of this series need to remember that it was a TV show and not a big budget movie. Spike and the directors and writers did a great job with this. It's pretty obvious that it had an audience if it is being released on DVD! BUY IT and enjoy some comic book fun!!

Look- Blade the Series was great guilty pleasure fare. Comparisons between a film with $90,000,000 budget to create 90 minutes of air time and a TV show that spent less for an entire series is a bit foolish. It was fun and now its gone and thats a shame.

This is a very good series and a great companion to the three Blade movies with Wesley Snipes. It continues on where the movies left off and Kirk "Sticky" Jones was an excellent replacement for Snipes. I give it four stars instead of five only because of the way the series ended. It's a shame it didn't last longer than it did (13 episodes, one season). Other than that, it was really good. I highly recommend this for any Blade fan or any person who likes vampire and/or action films or tv shows.
