Product Description

Not since the summit series, has an international hockey battle held such prowess, skill and excitement.

Watch as the hockey powers of Canada and Russia battle for what was the most coveted prize in international hockey, the Canada Cup.

On Sunday, September 13, 1987, Hamilton's Copps Coliseum came alive with excitement. Down by one game in a three game series, the Canadians were in a must win situation.

Watch as the Canadians build up a lead, only to see the feisty Russians climb back to send the game into overtime. For the second straight game the Canadian must fight off the Russians in order to stave off elimination. See drama unfolding throughout overtime, as each shot could ultimately make or break a nation.

This is the best game I've ever seen played. Tremendous display of skill, passion, and drama. It's a must win situation and in spots the atmosphere in the air is so thick you can practically cut it with a knife. One of Gretzky's finest games too. Apparently, Gretzky was so exhausted near the end of this one that he peed his pants on the bench but nobody knew. He lost all muscle control. If you can though, get the box set with all 3 final games. They are all worth it.
