I am a Bleach guy. I love the show. So naturally, I loved set 8 as well. I'm not going to give away spoilers as to what happens, instead, I'll focus on the quality of the dvd set.

I do hate how they have been giving less and less episodes for the same price. When I bought set 1 through 4, they really delivered with the amount of episodes. That has really gone downhill though with the rest of the sets. But, like I said, I'm a huge Bleach fan so I'll still buy them. I'm disappointed with the amount of episodes, but I'm not going to use Amazon to whine about it. Just so you know, you will probably go through all the episodes in about 2 days if you watch Bleach how I do. Hours at a time.

Show is still awesome but product packaging sucks. Dec 29 2010

I am a huge fan of Bleach, but Viz Media is really starting to tick me off. For the first 3 seasons they were released as an entire season and this was great. Season 4 with the Bounts it was released over two parts, one with 4 discs and one with 3, which I'm still okay with as a 7 disc set would cost a pretty penny. Followed by Season 5 box set with 4 discs. Up to this point I have no problems. The next sets released don't even mention which season it is. It just says Box Set 6, Box Set 7, and the latest Box Set 8 & all are 3 discs each. I noticed that box set 8 is episodes 134-145. I found out this particular season of Bleach goes to spisode 151 & I'm wondering why they just couldn't have added an extra disc to this package and finish the season. Instead they are ending right in the middle of a storyline & it's getting extremely frustrating. So the next set they come out with will have the end of this season and the start of the next. I really hope Viz reconsiders their policy on this as it's driving loyal customers away. They can't really say they're doing it to keep costs down, because I am paying almost as much for 3 discs as I was for 5. I will still buy this but can't guarantee I'll continue supporting this policy.

Too little for too much Dec 30 2010

I love the bleach anime series but this is getting rediculous. I hate how they are giving less and less episodes per box for the same exact price. Im beginning to think of them as money grabbers and because people will pay for it they do it. Well, this is where I draw the line and stop buying it unless they start to give more episodes again.

This is beginning to be a rip off. Waiting a year or two untill their all released and then expecting a re release of this in bigger sets for a cheaper price like I have seen with so many other animes such as Naruto sounds like a way better idea to me. Im going bankrupt here trying to keep up for so little amount of content. Id rather spend the same amount on complete series boxsets to other shows.

Hurry the hell up Viz Jan. 14 2011

I have to agree with some of the other posters here, but $30 isn't as bad as other places
want it. Still the method they are releasing the series is a pain. I loved the season sets
for Bleach and wished it was released like it. On the other hand, they are taking forever to
catch up what has been shown on TV. They are like what passed the second filler arc by now? Don't
bother to really watch it on adult swim since it became crap.

It'll take OVER 9000!!! years for them to release the series the way they are going. On to top it
off they don't even include the clean opening for the series. Just the clean endings. And if one
of the endings has an alternate take they don't even include those. Good example would be the third
ending theme from the second set.

Even Naruto Shippuden is being released a lot quicker than Bleach. I like Bleach but damn they need to
hurry the hell up so we can start getting to the good stuff.

Viz is getting greedy Aug. 18 2011

Okay, I am starting to spend about the same amount of money on these "half" and in the future most likely "quarter" seasons of Bleach as I used to on the full seasons. Not only is Viz keeping the prices the same while subtracting the number of episodes but the fact that they created episodes that have absolutely nothing to do with the main plot line in order to just extend the series pisses me off. The entire third disc in the last one had a ton of material that wasn't necessary to the storyline and wasn't in the manga. As well as the fact that they stop in the middle of this series to tell a non-canon (something that doesn't fit anywhere in the timeline) story. They should've kept to the story like in the manga (the Bount Saga was fine but this other stuff is just a waste of time and money). Stopping in between the Grimmjow and Ulquiorra fights to tell a non-canon story pisses me off. What should have been around 250 episodes has been turned into a series that extends into the category of "Why the hell am I still watching this bs?" I say boycot Viz media until they either lower the release prices of these dvd sets to a regular dvd ($20-$25) or they begin releasing in whole seasons again!

Goodbye Orihime Oct. 29 2012
By KevinB - Published on
Format: DVD
Just before the anticipated battle Ulquiorra takes Orihime to Aizen. He believes that she has a power that could benefit the Aspada and their cause. She is essentially unprotected at the time because all of the soul reapers are training in preparation for the battle.

This is a very good box set. The kidnapping of Orihime is unexpected. The night that she leaves she reveals her feelings for Ichigo. It is one of the most touching moments in the bleach series. If you're gonna miss any of this anime, make sure it's not this part of it.
