This is an import EP released back in 1989. I had no idea it even existed until a few months ago when I found a used copy at the record store for $25. Because of the package design I wasn't even sure how many tracks were on it so I was unsure about buying it at first, but decided to anyway. Imports like these are often times distributed on different record labels and although this is a Sup Pop release, it's also on Tupelo Records, the same label that put out two great Jawbreaker albums ("Bivouac" and "24 Hour Revenge Therapy" - both highly recommended) and this distribution deal may have played a part in Nirvana and Jawbreaker touring together years later.
As far as the music goes it's a great early release, but nothing you probably havn't heard already. 'Blew', 'Love Buzz' and 'Stain' all appear to sound about the same as they do on the album "Bleach", however the version of 'Been A Son' is noticeably different than the version that appeared much later on "Incesticide". Another plus to this release is the photos that were used for artwork. The cover displays a picture of Kurt Cobain laying down on the ground with his guitar, an early photo I had never seen before. Inside there is an eerie picture of an empty hospital room.
It's probably not worth paying as much as it's going for on here. You would be better off picking up "Bleach" and "Incesticide" to obtain these songs. However, if you are a big collector I can't see how you could go without this.
