Bobby and Yas Do It Again With Blood Music!, Nov 13 2004
This review is from: Blood Music (Audio CD)
If you haven't already bought Blood Music, then what the heck are you waiting for go buy it now!! It is an insane CD of tactful lyrics that actually have meaning! This CD features a band stepping out of the shell with one foot and staying in the shell with the other. Yes this CD is filled with the "teen angst" and all that Bullsh*t crap that people criticize this band for. But they have grown up on this disc. People just don't give these guys a chance. If you were to listen to the three cds they have released from earliest to this one you would see a rise in maturity. People judge Bobby and Yas blindly. If one was to actually hear the words or at least take 5 minutes of your time to read a few songs. Songs like The Truth and In This World you would see how mature they are. But I guess it's true that all bands will have haters, but what people don't do is know what music is about. Music is not about liking the band itself, it's about the message they deliever. I have been lastening to this band from the begining and i will listen to them till the end Which doesn't seem to be anywhere in sight! This band has been an inspiration and life-saver for many people, me included, and this third CD "Blood Music" by them is not going to change that and if anythin, it'll bring even more people into seeing the light. And realizing that this is a band worth realizing. And that this band is not going anyway any time soon!!

Dead Celebrities Take Over, Oct 19 2004
This review is from: Blood Music (Audio CD)
From the opening 'statements' of the Intro, you can tell you are in for something new and fresh. Dead Celebrity Status takes chances by taking shots at pop culture, critics, the music industry. Their first single "We Fall We Fall" is gaining momentum all over the country, but its not going to be as big as some of the other songs on the album. This disc will connect with the younger crowd in tracks like "If These Walls Could Talk," and "Someone I Once Knew." Then, this dark bran of hip hop takes on an oldschool hip hop vibe with "Back to 88." Tracks that stand out after the first listen are "In This Day & Age" which has a very powerful message right from the first line, and "Erica" with UK soul sensation, Joss Stone. If we have learned anything from this album, its that there IS music being made in Canada that is worth listening to.

New tracks from Yas and Bobby, with D.J. Dopey in the mix, Oct 19 2004
This review is from: Blood Music (Audio CD)
Project Wyze is reborn in Dead Celebrity Status. Yas and Bobby are back and bring D.J. Dopey along with them. This album is pure genius, the mixing and emceeing are outstanding. The music rocks. The first single, 'We fall, We Fall' sets the stage for the rest of the high adrenalin tracks. The theme 'Blood Music' blasts through each song, tying the whole album together. My favorite track, 'Erica', the original appearing on Project Wyze's Misfits.Strangers.Liars.Friends has been remixed here, featuring Joss Stone. It's an awesome mix, giving Erica a voice. Joss Stone isn't the only collaboration on this CD. It's got tons of other artists, with Bif Naked being just one of the other names on the album. Check out Blood Music!
