Not everyone has their happy ending,

Well this review will be hard write because there are so many things I want to say, but I don't want to give spoilers!Rose left the academy and is now on a crazy mission. She's stalking to streets and clubs of Russia trying to find a trail that would lead her to the love of her life - Dimitri. Along the way she'll befriend with some very special characters and find a lot more then she was looking for. She will find Dimitri thought, and things surely don't turn out the way she planed. On the other side of the world, Lissa and Adrian a grieving "the loss" of their friend Rose and it's not bright and shiny at the academy. They meet with some new friends but something seems really off, and they can't quite put their fingers on it. Will Rose kill Dimitri? Will Dimitri awaken her? Will Rose come back to her friend Lissa? You'll need to read to find out =) I was really feeling depressed reading the book, Rose was so drained of her fire and natural fierceness, she was drowning in grief and it was hard to bare. Dimitri, oh fine Dimitri! He totally ripped my heart apart. He was so sweet, caring, knight-like and loving. All the magic is gone from him in Blood Promise and geez it hurts! Lissa is becoming crazy and reckless, is spirit getting the best of her? Most of the book was so sad it was a wonder the characters weren't putting a bullet the their head. The grief was so intense! I felt like crying alone with my book. The end though, well I should say the last 200ish pages, WOW I was having a hard time sit still because I was so overwhelmed. I was feeling breathless by all the action going on. And the very end.. oh.. my.. god.. Richelle managed to stun me. I mean really! Richelle is good, oh so good! Why May 2010 is so far away? I want Spirit Bound now please! Romeo and Juliet story's is out-shined by Rose and Dimitri's tragic love story. Hands down!

I just finished with this book and I had read the whole series in about 4 or 5 days. My friends kept telling me how amazing it was. I was so consumed, I stayed up so late reading that my eyes were burning and I still couldn't force myself to put it down. I thought I would never find anything that I loved more then Twilight. But I must admit this was just as good. I kept trying to figure out how the story was going to go but really that was hopeless, I just had no idea. I love the confusion Rose has with Dimitri, I can't help but still love Dimitri even though he is Strigoi and totally evil. It's not like you only love the main character either, they all play such a big roll in this series. I love every one of them. The love and heartache actually had me crying a few times, that's how much this book pulls you in. The experience of reading this book has me so hopeful and excited about the next one on May 18th, 2010! It's going to be hard to wait that long to see where else Rose and Lissa will go and what they will find!

Rose has left the Academy and Lissa to pursue a crazy endeavor. She has to kill her boyfriend, who has now been turned strigoi, Dimitri. This takes her to Siberia where she begins her search. But when the time comes will she be able to do it. Rose has some tough times ahead of her.I have to say I am OBSESSED with this series. I honestly think I may like it more then Twilight. A lot of that comes from there being more action ;) between Rose and Dimitri then there was Bella and Edward. But also, Rose is such a strong character in contrast to Bella who has always seemed so week. Anyways, this series has made me fall in love with all the characters and this novel certainly did not disappoint. Although I thought I knew the direction the novel was going to go it continuously surprised me. I found that rose was a slightly different character in this novel she seemed depressed and vulnerable and without Rose, Lissa goes a little nuts herself. Read it to find out!!! Only downside is that the next novel Spirit Bound doesn't come out until May 2010 and there is a definite twist and cliff hanger at the end. It's going to be such a long wait. Oh and I also decided to read the whole series over again which took me two days... basically I was up until 5:00am every morning reading because I couldn't stop... that's how good it is.
