Major Ursula Carson is a decorated Army veteran with hopes of continued success as she climbs through the ranks. With the assignment of heading up an elite contingent of vampires to assist the Army on a special mission, Ursula just knows her appointment to lieutenant is imminent, or is it? When the top brass communicates their plans to Ursula, her world quickly spirals out of control before her eyes.
Through their covert operations together, Ursula has come to greatly respect the vampires, their unique abilities and even begin to call some of them friends. Elder Turi is a wise vampire leader who is over 4,000 years old. Two of Elder Turi's right--hand men are Max and Solomon. Max is a bit of an iconoclast with a flamboyant style and debonair charm. Solomon, on the other hand, has more of a level headed sense of calm. All of the vampires possess unique superhuman strengths that are a great asset when they have to combat their opponents and will come in handy as they face the challenges in BLOOD SEDUCTION. Together, Ursula's military prowess combined with the vampire crew's savvy skills are a force to be reckoned with when the Army does its best to turn the tables on them.
BLOOD SEDUCTION is a unique thriller from cover to cover. It combines the elements of suspense, mystery and romance to culminate into a delightful read. Writing under the pen name, J.M. Jefferies, authors Miriam Pace and Jacqueline Hamilton collaborate to create an engaging read. I look forward to hearing more from these authors.

The dynamic duo, J.M. Jeffries, presents Blood Seduction. A tale that catapults you into immediate action from the first page and holds you with baited breath until the end.
Major Ursula Carlson has been assigned to head up an elite force to assist the military in their covert and special operation missions. The uniqueness of this "special force" is that they are all vampires. Not just your typical vampires, but vampires that have lived long lives and have invented and fine tuned themselves over centuries to blend in with the everyday human population.
While commanding this group as in most cases, Major Carlson establishes relationships with her unit. This fact alone made it almost impossible for her to sit around and watch them and their kind eliminated as directed by her superiors.
Leaving all of her hopes, dreams and the life as she knows it behind, she heads out to warn and protect the unit that she has grown to respect and love. Elder Turi who serves as the vampire leader of sorts, is the first person that she contacts. He then alerts his second in command Solomon and starts mass evacuation.
Solomon, a fine specimen of a vampire/man is one who they call a day walker. He is able to stay up and out during the daylight hours unlike the typical vampire. Not only does he have special powers, but he has the power to captivate Major Carlson and set her senses on edge as she fantasize about him sucking more than her blood.
J.M. Jeffries has taken mythical characters and presented them as if they are as real as you and I. The characters are very dimensional and believable. The story is complete and fast moving as the darkness attracts the reader and the sensual characters and comedic dialogue holds them in place. I am truly looking forward to reading more from this very talented pair of writers. I urge everyone to read at least one J.M. Jeffries novel and this would make a great start.

Ever since assisting the venators in tracking down and killing a rogue vampire, Major Ursula Carlson has partnered with them to prove to the military that most vampires are decent people and willing to do their part to help keep the country safe. When she discovers some very disturbing news about the Army's plans for their vampire "armies," Ursula goes AWOL to warn the Vampire Praetorium of the danger to come.
Now Ursula has paired up with Solomon, one of the venators, and one of the few of his kinds she trusts implicitly. They must work together with Ursula's new friends to protect the vampires. If they don't succeed, every single one of the vampires will be slaughtered out of fear and ignorance.
In Blood Seduction, the sequel to Blood Lust, we have Army Major Ursula Carlson and Solomon's story. Ursula's opinions of vampires have changed drastically since getting involved in the hunt for rogue Charles (see Blood Lust) and while she doesn't trust their kind as a rule, she has learned there are many good souls in their race. She certainly never expected to see the day she'd put everything she believes in and her long upstanding career in the Army on the line to protect them. That's exactly what she does though. Ursula has a strong moral code in spite of (or maybe because of) her life growing up and she will always stand against what she believes is wrong. This very thing is the catalyst for all that is to follow in Blood Seduction.
Solomon is an intriguing mystery and I've loved him since I met him. So has Ursula, though it took her a while to understand and accept this. Solomon has a long involved and very deep history that I thoroughly enjoyed discovering alongside of Ursula. He became even more enthralling the more we learned. Solomon is the perfect complement to Ursula with his deep abiding and quiet loyalty.
One especially fascinating aspect of the vampire world created by JM Jeffries is the talents each vampire has. Every vampire has one special gift that comes with the change, though it takes a few centuries to manifest itself. For example, Mignon's ability is to defy gravity making her able to literally walk upside down on ceilings. Solomon's ability makes him a daywalker, able to withstand the sun except the few hours midday when the sun is at its peak. This one detail helps to set this vampire world apart form the ordinary found in romance novels.
JM Jeffries is able to bring humor into even the darkest of times. Ursula has a very dark and twisted sense of humor that is her outlet for intense stress. This causes some amusing scenes where she just can't control her tongue, often offending other characters, but always bringing levity to the moment.
Blood Seduction tells a passionate story, though sometimes quite dark, as was Blood Lust, that will suck you in. We are even given more of a glimpse into a couple other favorite characters of mine, Max and Elder Turi. I can only hope this means Max's story is coming soon? And maybe a story for Elder Turi as well? I would love to spend more time in the world JM Jeffries has built!
The authors of this book and Blood Lust really keep you captivated and wanting more. I went through this book in 1 day and today I am here very sad because I want to read more. The characters are lovable and you cheer for them and you want them to be happy...you believe in the possibilities of Love and no bounderies. I want to know what happens next. There has got to be a story around Serena and Max...and I am waiting for it!

To my surprise I enjoyed this book. I wasn't sure I would. The story was solid. However, I would have liked a little more "seduction." The love scene (yes, that's singular) was very nice. Jeffries could have given us another well-placed one. I will certainly read more books by this author.
