Product Description

In this memoir, young Brian Fawcett sets off with his best friend to find the biggest and most beautiful Christmas tree possible for his school: a majestic blue spruce, hidden away in a park in their hometown of Prince George, British Columbia. After chopping their prize down though, the boys learn that the tree is one of a group of trees given to the city by the State of California. Riddled with guilt and terrified of being caught, Brian must learn to live with his mistake, and, in doing so, learns to see beyond the mistakes of others to see people for who they really are.
