Product Description

From Amazon.co.uk

This is B.B. King's most delightful recording of the 1990s. He duets with other blues greats, including Koko Taylor ("Something You Got"), Buddy Guy ("I Pity the Fool"), Etta James ("There's Something on Your Mind"), Ruth Brown ("You're the Boss") and his dear friend John Lee Hooker ("You Shook Me"). The peaks come in his guitar shootout with Texas Telecaster slinger Albert Collins on "Call It Stormy Monday" and his high-spirited run-in with Katie Webster, who steals their performance of "Since I Met You Baby" with her saucy asides. --Ted Drozdowski

This is a very enjoyable release from B.B. King, and friends! Well recorded and a very nice selection of songs and guests joining B.B. - I think this is what makes this recording such a treat!

The stand out song for me is Call it Stormy Mondy with Albert Collins - a great version of this song!

This aptly-titled collection of blues duets between BB and his fellow blues greats is nothing less than a milestone in recorded sound, living history really. But don't put this CD up on blocks in your garage, listen to it again and again and wear it out! You'll be a better person for it. Your neighbors will wonder why you've suddenly decided to smile all the time. Even telemarketers will feel good as you pleasantly tell them 'no thank you'! This fine set of tunes is better than...well, better than lotsa other things, I can tell you that. You must own this CD. You must own this CD....

5.0 out of 5 stars The Monster duets!!!, Sep 10 2001

This is a superb B.B.'s album, really one of the bests from 90's,and we can recognize a great performance of B.B. King, not only with his "Lucille",but still yet with his raucous loudly great vocal tunes, like never before!!Great album, great participations, with the gem of the blues. The presences here are enriched with the performances of the legendary "Memphis Horns"and Kim Wilsom from "The Fabulous Thunderbirds".
This is an album to be at a special place at any bluesfans collections!I really recomend!
