This book gives a wonderful survey of the photographer's "best" pictures and was designed by him and authored by a sympathetic Swiss photo-historian, Hendl Teicher.

I love this photographer. His is not very well known in the States and accidentally learned about him. I was very excited to order this book, assuming that his 100 favorites would be his best. Apparently my idea of his best and his idea of his best differ. I was very disappointed in the subject matter and didn't find many images I actually enjoy of his in this collection. This book is very avante garde and not the portraiture I expected from him. If you love abstract and rough unusual BW this is the book for you. The subject matter I love from this photographer involves beautiful unique nudes,with unique color use. Not in this book. All black and white and rather harsh. I just don't think this collection is worthy of the high price.
