I had a really hard time deciding how to rate this product. It provided exactly what it advertises - a good workout that left me breathless, sweaty and tired at the end of the hour. However, I've tried a lot of other workout videos (from the Biggest Loser series, Jillian Michaels, ChaLean Extreme, Insanity, etc.), and I have to say, this was one of my least favorites.
Personally, I disliked a lot of the exercises - not because they made me work hard, but because they felt awkward. I didn't feel like there was a lot of flow in this workout. Nor was there much emphasis on proper form, which is really important considering the number of squats and dead lifts Bob asks you to do with a "heavy weight". I also disliked the way the workout starts with what felt like endless dead lifts and squats. It was a boring way to start out and though it did get my heart rate up, it didn't get me energized for the rest of the workout. I also really disliked the editing of the video itself. There are weird freeze-frames and close-ups and perhaps that contributes to the lack of flow.
That being said, it is a good workout. My heart rate was up throughout, and between all the dead lifts, squats and push-ups you get decent lower body, upper body and core action too. I just wish I had enjoyed it more. I would much rather spend an hour doing the Biggest Loser Boot Camp or another one of the videos that are more enjoyable and also produce great results.
