The show itself: At first, I wasn't feeling it. Then I wasn't sure, but I quickly fell in love with this show.
What I love about it is that you always know the family loves each other. You never get a feeling that they're out to get any one member. They're just eccentric, and the kids can be especially so. It's really a cartoon about a family. Not a cartoon that has a family.
It's definitely not for everyone, but give it a fair chance just in case. Because if I hadn't given it a fair chance, then I would have missed out on something I now view as my favorite show on Fox.
The DVD set: I was pleasantly surprised that *every* episode has commentary. Usually it's just a couple, but every one does. Ranging from cast members, to writers and producers. It's great to have that available to watch/listen to.
