The Bodum Pavina Double Wall Glasses are individually handmade by expert artisans. Because this glass is mouth-blown, each one may have slight differences in height, thickness and weight. Bodum Pavinas help keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold because of the thermal effect of the double wall. The double wall also prevents condensation and excess heat from reaching your hands. Please use care when placing ice into the glass to avoid fracturing the inner layer. We suggest adding the liquid first and then the ice. Please also avoid using metal spoons or placing the glass into a crowded dishwasher. For optimal heat retention, pre-heat the glass before adding hot liquids. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

Beautifully made mouth blown glass. I made my morning coffee with my Verismo coffee maker. Was very disappointed that the glass can only hold 6oz. not the 8.5 oz. the coffee maker dispenses, so my coffee flowed over. What a waste, I had to throw some of the coffee out as I wouldn't be able to ad my cream and sugar. I guess I cannot use this glass for my morning coffee, which is why I purchased it.

The glasses do keep things colder or hotter than a regular glass and the outer wall stays room temperature so you don't burn or freeze your hands. It does hold 8 ounces but I wish we had gone for the size up as I realized we drink tea/coffee or cold drinks in larger portions, especially if we add ice.

I do wish Bodum made a coffee mug with a handle that held about 12 ounces. Realistically we end up using the glasses we bought for cold drinks only, and even then only if we want something without ice.
