5.0 out of 5 stars Tidy, simple and easy to get control of the finances with, Jun 26 2006
This review is from: Bonnie's Household Budget Book, Revised Edition: The Essential Guide for Getting Control of Your Money (Plastic Comb)
Like Bonnie's other books, this tackles finances with clarity and ease.

I've used it for years, and although anybody's budget will need some tweaking --her photocopy ready planner pages are a guideline--those planner pages will get you up and moving and thinking thru a sometimes scary and difficult business.

The tips in the back of the book on saving money are really the best of all the money saving tips I've ever read. Short, sweet and to the point. Start here.

Get this one, and also get Mary Hunt's The complete Cheapskate for even more tips, plus snowball debt reduction explanations.

together these make a powerhouse course in family finances.

3.0 out of 5 stars Helpful Budgeting Basics, Jun 7 2000
By A Customer
Over all the book is helpful, and the work sheets are detailed enough to seperate expenses, however, unless you have kept fairly detailed records for several months, you will not be able to accurately complete the worksheets. Be prepared to spend time with prep work before beginning.
