Good concepts for all volunteers, Dec 11 2009
By Glenis F. Chapin - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Boomer Volunteer Engagement (Paperback)
A colleague and I have used the information in this book to "enlighten" volunteer professionals in our area. We find the vocabulary, concepts and ideas apply to all manner of volunteers, not just boomers. What a fantastic source for realigning our thinking about volunteers and their role in the induction with and production for organizations. The concepts honor volunteers' life experiences and skills. It promotes a respectful negotiation to reach successful placement. This the premier source for the future of volunteer management...er, I mean volunteer engagement.

Rural or Metro, every volunteer program should have this book!, July 8 2008
By Melody "RSVP Program Director" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Boomer Volunteer Engagement (Paperback)
Our small rural volunteer program was facing a huge issue: Rejuvenate or Die. By using this book, and putting theory into practice, we are now experiencing growth in new programming, volunteer recruitment and community buy-in. Our collaborative efforts are bearing great fruit and we are becoming the "re-newed" thriving hub for volunteers in all of our service area and beyond.
This book is worth its weight in gold.

A Must for Anyone Working with Volunteers!, Jun 18 2008
By L.G. - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Boomer Volunteer Engagement (Paperback)
This book is enlightening, useful, and easy to read. The authors have distilled a lot of information about Boomers and make it clear and relevant. The process they lay out for engaging volunteers in new ways will really help my school/organization. The exercises are useful and have inspired me to engage my faculty and parent volunteers in new, collaborative ways.
