Second book in Judith's (Desiree Holt) The Protectors Series and a fantastic book. Grabs you from page 1 till the end with plot twists and turns and the chemistry between Kat and Zak is electrifying making this a definite must read!!!!!!!!!!

Be ready to dodge, dive, run, and hide because keeping Kat one-step ahead of vicious killers takes some special doing. Zak Delaney, her spurned lover, steps up and makes plans that take the reader on an adrenaline-pumping adventure as he works to keep Kat safe..Kat Lombardo, a success business woman that built her company with grit and determination, falls prey to unscrupulous men. Her ambitions blind her to the diabolical machinations of her business associations, after all they were recommended by her very own Uncle Ivan. When she begins to suspect wrongdoing, she gets setup big time. Wow! The deadly game is on.
Zak, a hero that revs up the adrenaline and the heart rate, uses all the resources at his command (they are many) to keep Kat safe. He tells himself not to get involved with Kat, at least not until this life-and-death situation is resolved. Telling himself and making himself abide by the decision proves to be a challenge.
How Kat survives drugs, bullets, explosions, and grenades creates a spellbinding, scary story. She's well aware that without Zak and the resources of Guardian Security she would be in jail or dead.
The antagonists make one's flesh crawl. No conscience cruelty, insatiable greed, and an unyielding desire for power are terrifying. They seem so realistic for our present time.
Judith Rochelle works in some love scenes that surely do take one's mind off the danger. But then the action escalates, pulling the reader right back into the deadly game involving the Russian mafia, a police force with blinders on, and even the Homeland Security and Zak's ranch hands.
Boomerang grabs one's attention at the first words and holds on tight, with hardly a chance to breath, until the last word. Exciting!
