If you like your vengeance served hot, Catholic and Irish with a healthy dose of American Hollywood, then this is the film for you. There is a reason why this is considered a cult classic, and it starts with Veritas et Aequitas...
and a lot of guns.
Released in the dying days of the 20th century, it is a must for any fan of Willem Dafoe, Norman Reedus, or films that make you want to tattoo stuff on your body that you'd never thought of doing before.
Don't expect Oscar winning film making, because it's not. Don't expect Oscar winning script. Because it's not...a classic, awesome film is not necessarily what is high brow. This is not high brow, but it is necessary viewing for anyone who likes their good guys bad and their bad guys dead.
Boondock Saints is almost a right of passage...for good reason.
