4.0 out of 5 stars Heavy- Chrome -Rock `n' Roll ! Dec 23 2009
By Nikiforos V. Skoumas - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
"Booze Broads and Beelzebub" is the second album by Norwegian heavy rock'n roll band "Chrome Division". As most are aware by now, the group is led by "Dimmu Borgir" vocalist Shagrath who undertakes rhythm guitar duties in "Chrome Division"; the line up also features Ricky Black (G), Eddie Guz (V), Bjorn Luna (B) and Tony White(D).

Sound wise the album combines the speed and intensity of Motorhead with the surreal themes, vocals and melodies of "Lordi" and "Zimmers Hole". Although a fun oriented and- to a certain extent- parody album, "Booze..." is much heavier than the average "Motorhead" album. On that account, while the band puts out a loose and carefree image, their recordings and production are considerably well planned. The guitars and bass are just about the thickest you will hear on any rock'n roll album, at the same time the drums deliver up front mayhem without causing the end result to sound noisy.

In additions I was really surprised to find some very sophisticated solos and a good amount of twin guitar melodies which are a very pleasant addition to the sound of the band. Favorite tracks include "Raven Black Cadillac", "Wine of Sin" and "Life of a Fighter". This is heavy Rock 'n Roll that goes beyond the obvious.

A definite must for fans of "Motorhead", "Zimmers Hole" and "Lordi".

"Power Play" UK magazine (issue 101) marks this album with 8/10 commenting: "Fast paced, guitar fueled rock'n'roll debauchery at its finest."

This is the album I`ve been waiting for, heavy as Motorhead,Louder the Metallica, faster than crap through a goose.Shagrath and Luna, put together one hellashis band,Eddie Guz,of the Carburetors lends vicious voals, and Ricky Black wails on lead guitar, and Tony White, beats the drums like they stole from him.Great intro into title song then you get smacked by Wine of Sin,Raven Black Cadillac doesn`t let up,and when you get to the cover of Sharp Dressed Man you`ll realize, that you must hear more,so buy the other albums, Doomsday Rock-n-Roll,and 3rd Round Knockout.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun to listen to. Jun 9 2011

When i first listened to this band (because I love Dimmu), it was ok. It took me a little bit to get used to the vocals. But after listening a bunch of times I gotta say I love this band. The music is just fun to listen to and blast in your car. It's definitely party music. I gotta say also though that on this cd vocals were done by Eddie Guz. On their new cd they have a new singer which sounds similar, but i don't like him as much as Eddie. Anyway the drums are awesome in pretty much every song, and the guitar solos are pretty intense. Get this cd if you like to party and listen to heavy rock. My favorite songs have to be: Let's Hear It, Doomsday Rider, Booze, Broads, Beelzebub, The Boys From the East, and Wine of Sin.
