The game is good. I am looking forward to the second installment that is coming out this year.

As for amazon, I am not happy. This is why I am not a satisfied customer.

I finally bought this brand new because the picture on Amazon is the cover for the newest edition -- the one where you get 2 Discs. Disc 1 with the game. And Disc 2 with the add-on content. Of course, I did not get what was advertised. I got the older version where you get a Voucher for the code for the download. This means, as many gamers have indicated on the forums, is that you are at the mercy of gearbox's server. This is not what was advertised. So buyer beware! If you really want the 2 Disc version, get it in person at Gamestop. Don't buy it here

I'm a big fan of fallout, I've played all of them, and this game made me happy, cause it reminded of fallout. Although it's by far not as complex as fallout, it has things that you will never find playing fallout. It's a really fun game, if you like action rpg, and if you like shooters. What I prefer about this game that bugged me about fallout is how fun it is to shoot people. In fallout, no matter how many bullets you snipe in the head, it's not 100% sure you will blow the head up, and that too me is really annoying. I like rpgs, but I don't like to have to shoot ridiculous ammounts of bullets on enemies to kill them. And that's what made me happy about Borderlands, it's slightly more towards realistic shooter, because you won't have to shoot stupid amounts of ammo on guys close to your level, but guys that are high in level, yes, you will have to empty your ammo, and basically, you just don't go for them until your leveled up. And who wouldnt love to play with friends on an rpg game, now that's the first reason I bought this game. Overall, I'm going to play this game for a while, and enjoy it for a while and i recommend it to anyone who played fallout and has a similar point of view as me on it.

First time I played Borderlands was on the PC then Xbox 360 witch was noting over the top when coming from the PC, although it turns out enabling high shadows on the PC would make the game unplayable, where the shadows were perfect on the consoles, so I guest it was noting more then a console port. Nevertheless Borderlands had to be in the PS3 collection.

It has a very steep learning curve, but once you get into the swing of things, it's an amazing, expansive game. And the expansion packs are a welcome addition to the game. In fact, I like playing the zombie version even better. What surprised me was the humour buried in the game. Twisted, funny, and a blast to play.

After a long time of my friends telling me that I needed to play Borderlands and Borderlands 2, I finally picked the first game up on Amazon. And? I hated it.

I clocked in about five hours of gameplay before putting the game down. I found it to be very boring, very repetitive and very dry. Most of the missions are the same. Side quests are usually just fetch quests (ie. go to X place, do Y thing and return to Z character. Rinse and repeat). You run around and around constantly trying to find a better gun because yours is a piece of crap, and that can get old pretty fast. The shooting isn't anything special and the RPG side is what you'd expect.

There are some funny jokes, dialogues and one-liners though. So I'll give it that and I thought the game looked pretty nice too.

This isn't to say that the game isn't for you. It definable isn't for everyone. I suggest watching some gameplay online to see what you think. But for me, I just disliked this game. I found it boring.

Everything is great the repetition reached my simple mind when I got to the underdome and the sheer number of waves bored me.

This was just what I was looking for to satisfy my rpg and fps needs when I have a craving for it, plus it getting all four DLC's is a huge bonus and extends the game play dramatically. Well worth the money.
