One of a kind,
By soulmoxie "A customer" (Ottawa, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Born To Die (Audio CD)
I consider myself really fortunate to have discovered this CD. This girl is unique: American imagery with a European sensibility, the absolute extreme in over-the-top romantic Weltschmerz (hey, look it up). Have heard nothing else like it. Deadly stuff. She's a pretty damned good videographer too: the video for "Video Games" is almost as good as the song itself. That song and "Born to Die" (the song) are going to live forever, and "Blue Jeans"... I dunno, it's possible, haven't decided yet. But I look forward to listening for the next few years in order to come to a decision....

This review is from: Born To Die (Vinyl) (LP Record)
Great album, but poor quality sound on this UK 2 LP. Sounds compressed and vocals sound slightly distorted. No warmth, "highs", "lows" or detail.Stick to the cd. Don't waste your money.

Don't Judge by SNL Performance,
This review is from: Born To Die (Vinyl) (LP Record)
A true vocal artist in her own right. Definitely check out the YouTube clips, but Igotta say - digital audio does not do her vocal chops justice. Vinyl is the way to go with ALL the right equipment. The tunes present a variety of styles and Lana ( Lizzy ) can pull them all off effortlessly and entertainingly. A delight to the sonic senses. Long Live Vinyl ! Long Live Lana/Lizzy !
