Book Description

May 29 2002 Concannon Sisters
Born in Fire: Maggie Concannon is a glassmaker whose exquisite works are more than mere objects of beauty: they are reflections of her own true nature. When gallery owner Rogan Sweeney comes to Maggie's isolated studio, her heart is enflamed by their fierce attraction - and her scarred past is slowly healed by a gentle and forgiving love. Born in Ice: When the harsh storms of winter descend upon western Ireland, the locals stay indoors - and visitors stay away. Brianna Concannon's bed-and-breakfast becomes a cold and empty place. This year, though, she's expecting an unusual guest - mystery writer Grayson Thane - from America. A restless wanderer with a dark past, he plans to spend the cold winter alone. Yet sometimes fate has a plan of its own. Born in Shame: Shannon Bodine is a talented graphic artist whose life revolves around her job at a prestigious New York advertising agency. Her world is turned upside down when she learns the identity of her real father: Thomas Concannon. Respecting her late mother's wish, Shannon travels to County Clare. There, her loneliness and shame melt away in the embrace of family. And amid the lush Irish landscape, she discovers the possibility of a love that is meant to be.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of Nora's Most Powerful Trilogy's Mar 7 2003
By E. Moss
Format:Hardcover
I am an avid reader of Nora Roberts - I own all her books. I don't usually re-read books - but I made an exception with this one - This trilogy is Absolutely incredible! My favorite of the 3 is actually the last one "Born in Shame" (I have lost count of how many times I have read it) with the second being "Born in Ice". When I finished this trilogy I felt like I wished the Concannon's were my neighbors. My only hope is that Nora will come up with some ideas to re-visit this family in a new book - I will be 1st in line to buy it! I originally bought these books individually, before they came out in one novel. I would recommend purchasing the Novel to anyone who wants a page turner!

Loved this trilogy, they used an irish lad, accent and all to tell the story. I had hours of enjoyment from these books and am on my second read. The humour is delicious, the descriptions of the irish country side created a wonderful picture and the characters were colourful. Would not hesitate to recommend these stories .

5.0 out of 5 stars Nora's done it again!! Mar 5 2003
Format:Hardcover
This is the seciond trilogy of Nora's that I have read in one weekend!! I absolutley love the Concannon woman. I could actually feel their pain and there true love for their father. The men that they end up with are gorgeous, successful and thoroughly in love. I would recommend this book to anyone who was thinking of reading it!
