Product Description

Digitally remastered edition of this 1983 collaboration between the two Soul vocalists. When Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack teamed up to record Born To Love, the pair had already experienced success as a duo thanks to the 1980 LP, Live & More (a Top 10 R&B best-selling album). By the time they headed into the studio to cut this album, Bryson was six years into his recording career and had established himself as one of the premier black male vocalists of the day; Flack was already considered an internationally-renowned artist thanks to a string of classic recordings. With tracks produced by songwriters Michael Masser, Bob Crewe and Bryson himself, Born To Love achieved gold status in the US as well as becoming both artists' highest-charting international success. The impact of the now-classic single, 'Tonight, I Celebrate My Love' was global.

5.0 out of 5 stars PURE ROMANTIC SOUL Aug. 15 2004
By ccmaycare - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I have this album in four different formats: eight track, vinyl, audio cassette, and cd. That's how much I love it. I know that sounds insane. But really, I have loved this album since I was little kid. It's Roberta and Peabo at their best. And it's perfect to get you in the mood for love. That's all this album is from beginnig to end - pure romantic soul.

4.0 out of 5 stars Celebrate This Wonderful Release July 4 2013

"Born To Love" is one of my favorites records by a duo. I am so glad to have this back in my collections, and also remastered. I could not say how many times i played the album back in the early 80s.
"Celebrate My Love" was the hit single here, and I always liked the song very much. I do not hear this on radio any longer,so it is great have it here once again.
All the songs just really blend and work together in a excellent way. While this is a commercial release-I believe it was done in a wonderful way.
There was another minor hit here "You're Looking Like Love To Me" a song that received some airplay back in the day, and I was surprised it was not a bigger hit.
Many excellent writers, producers, and singers-Maybe is just does not get any better than that.
I have a feeling I will be playing this compact disc for some time to come.

I loved this album back in 1985. The tracks are timeless, and still I hit repeat in the CD player! Great voices, lyrics and production.

It is very important for everyone into R&B that CD is in your collection. True singers - songwriters must be supported. An almost dieing class of master musicians will fade if we do not support them. I recommended this CD.
