The novel is filled with fierce intensity and naked vulnerability, thickly wrapped with reflection, regret and possibility. The carefully measured prose maintains a cautious tension, keeping the weave even and intriguing. Moreover, the background of the Kentucky bluegrass, together with the scent of sunlight and shadow, intertwine in a novel that entrances the reader. An incredible and touching read, BORN OF THE BLUEGRASS comes very highly recommended.
