Its very compact because the battery IS the handle,so its circular and fits in your palm. It doesnt hang out below your hand, under the main hanle, like some 18vor bigger drills. This means you can get to smaller places a bit easier, and its also less cumbersome to hold.
You dont want this drill if you do major concrete work or do construction in general.Go buy an impact drill for heavy workloads. This one is for home owners, not construction workers.
My single complaint is the placement of the LED "flashlight". Being right above the trigger, I often slipped my index finger over it and completely blocked the light. I also have the Bosch PS41 Impact Driver and prefer the 3-LED light ring for illuminating my work.
The fuel gauge is a great feature making it easy to see when I was running low and should plan to swap batteries. However, the lithium battery technology keeps the power constant until the battery is depleted so your tool doesn't slow down as it drains.
- Very light and Very small.
- Good LED.
- Battery life indicator.
- Solid construction, awesome handling and ergonomics.
- Strong enough for drilling wood and plastic. Be aware it is not a hammer drill and not designed for heavy duty applications.
- Chuck is a little wobbly (just as with any other cordless drill).
- Wish it had a belt clip

I don't use this as much as my Rigid drill (18V), but this is nice for smaller jobs since it is lighter and easier to handle.Published 18 months ago by sirloins
