Rear table saw extension,

I bought my table saw a couple of years ago, and had they told me then that there was this extension, I would have bought it then. Very easy to install and adds an extra 12 inches to the back of your saw. Make sure when you install it, you leave the screws loose until you retract this extension. Pushes up nice and tightly to the saw and only sticks out roughly 2". Makes cutting a half sheet of plywood a breeze. Bought both the rear and side extensions. If you own this saw, these are must have extensions, especially if you are working by yourself.

 - The front bar for the left side extension is short enough to not hit the red lever for the right side extension. - Both left side extension and outfeed extension come with a stop knob for securing the extensions either open or closed. - Both extensions sag just a little, which I fixed by placing a washer (approx 0.043 in thick) between the brace and the tablesaw for the _back_ bolt on each bracket. This modification brought it very close to level, for just over $2 in washers at my local big box hardware store. I do say a few odd words here and there in the video (quarters when I meant washers, etc.) But I'm sure you can figure it out. Overall review: These were what I expected, fit my 4100 series Bosch worksite table saw, and were easy to install following the included instructions. 51 of 52 people found the following review helpful

outfeed support,

The outfeed support is a handy thing to have on a table saw. The only problem that I have encountered in useing it is that flexible materials like thin plywood tend to flex between the saw and the outfeed support and hit the support instead of going on top of it. This problem can be fixed by using a peice of scrap as a 'brige' to help the material make it onto the suport.

After reading some of the poor reviews for this product I had some reservations.When I unpacked and assembled the extention I soon discovered the problems others had described.1st the miter guide slots don't align with the notches in the extention.2nd the sliding rails are too far apart, one owner had elongated the mounting holes to address this.The actual problem is in the illustrations in the instructions! The pictures of the model 4000 saw and the 4001 saw are reversed.Simply mount one bracket facing outward[the one with the lock knob]and the other facing inward,as pictured for the model 4001,and the extention fits and operates smoothly! Perhaps BOSCH should correct the instructions instead of agreeing they had made a manufacturing error to appease a dissatisfied customer. I hope this helps others who encounter this problem.
