I found the Companion 20's to be a very good speaker, especially in a 2.0 system. The bass is acceptable for no subwoofer but if your a real bass head, they might be a little shy of what you're looking for. They are perfect for me at work since I have to pack and unpack them every shift. Like I said, they are a very good speaker for no subwoofer, but they are not as good as the Corsair 2500sp's I own at home although the Corsairs have a sub. The only thing I found annoying was the "puck" volume control. It's really cool at first but is more hassle than its really worth. It is so sensitive, it is easy to turn it way up with just the sleeve of your shirt or anything which usually scares the s--t out of you. It's also to easy to turn on and off. Just another cord to mess with, or get damaged and tangled. A little picture as well. More than my beautiful Corsairs!
