Product Description

Good enough to suggest long-term franchise potential, The Bourne Supremacy is a thriller fans will appreciate for its well-crafted suspense, and for its triumph of competence over logic (or lack thereof). Picking up where The Bourne Identity left off, the action begins when CIA assassin and partial amnesiac Jason Bourne (a role reprised with efficient intensity by Matt Damon) is framed for a murder in Berlin, setting off a chain reaction of pursuits involving CIA handlers (led by Joan Allen and the duplicitous Brian Cox, with Julia Stiles returning from the previous film) and a shadowy Russian oil magnate. The fast-paced action hurtles from India to Berlin, Moscow, and Italy, and as he did with the critically acclaimed Bloody Sunday, director Paul Greengrass puts you right in the thick of it with split-second editing (too much of it, actually) and a knack for well-sustained tension. It doesn't all make sense, and bears little resemblance to Robert Ludlum's novel, but with Damon proving to be an appealingly unconventional action hero, there's plenty to look forward to. --Jeff Shannon

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't wait for the next Bond? Wait no more! Dec 22 2004
Format:DVD
"The Bourne Supremecy" is one of those films that I love, and I think is an awesome picture in the most "popcorny" way possible. This film has all the action of a 007 flick with a (somewhat) realistic plotline. I believe that "The Bourne Supremecy" is one of the best of 2004. There are two unforgettable scenes, and both are very similar. I will not give away the film, but I am referring to the two times when Jason Bourne is on the phone with Pamela. Awesome. "Supremecy" is defineatly a sensational movie, and is at least worth a rent.

although i didn't like this movie as much as the first one,it's still a darn good film.Matt Damon returns as Jason Bourne, and is again outstanding in the role.Frank Potente also returns, and is good, once again.and again the supporting cast is also very good.the action sequence are just as spectacular int his one.the fight scenes are amazing.the only difference i noticed, was that the dramatic scenes didn't seem as compelling and i think they went on a bit too long at times.other than that, this is a great movie.it's a bit shorter than "Identity" at 108 minutes.anyway,my vote for The Bourne Supremacy is 4/5

1.0 out of 5 stars "Shaky-Cam" simply ruined my enjoyment of this movie
Sorry to say this but I was almost nauseated by the consistent camera movement in this movie. I was totally distracted from an otherwise potentially fine movie by the heavy handed... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the original
There are some critics that dismiss this film because they find the camera work a bit shaky. The director only wanted to give the film a documentary-like feel and the fact is,... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Loved Identity hated Supremacy
If you enjoyed the Blair Witch project you'll probaly like this. Hand held camera work was the format, lots of dark scenes with flashbacks that were blurred and jumpy. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Damn fine film.
It isn't often that a movie gets my heart pumping, especially the second time I see it. I'm fairly desensitized to most of the tricks up Hollywood's sleeve. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointment
at least on my widescreen the attempt to create action by constantly flashing various scenes was annoying as to make the movie unwatchable.
