Item well built, tough and safe... so far. Our Goldendoodle pup tends to inhale her food in seconds. This food dispenser slows her down a bit to ensure she doesn't have digestion problems like some dogs have. I'm not sure how much mental stimulation it gives her as it did not take her too long to figure out how to get the food but at least it slows her down a bit. Definitively worth it.
