Review

"A humorous guide for dads of daughters, covering the ins and outs of everything from hosting tea parties to living in a world of pink." - Toronto Star

"Laugh-out-loud book." - Chicago Tribune

"I would recommend any person, man or women, who is expecting a daughter to read 'Oh, You're Having a Girl' for a good laugh about the joys and antics that comes with having all girls." - Coastal Carolina Parent

About the Author

Brian A. Klems is a writer, husband, softball player, perennial fantasy sports underachiever, and father of three lovely little girls. He's a proud graduate of the journalism school at Ohio University. He's also the online editor of Writer's Digest magazine. When he isn't explaining the differences between "who" and "whom" on his "The Writer's Dig" blog or mowing his lawn (two weeks later than he should have), he's likely playing "Ring Around the Rosy" with his daughters. You can visit his website at www.TheLifeofDad.com.

Poorly written, sarcastic throughout written in fairy tale prose. What a waste, after 5 pages of reading, I went to the middle...same thing. In the garbage bin.

Funny stuff for new dads! March 14 2013
By Phillip Sexton - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The timing of this book was perfect. I'm going to be the father of a new baby girl in approximately six weeks and am as excited as can be. I read Klem's book from cover to cover. It's not so much a serious guide on "how to raise girls" as it is a humor book by a very funny writer describing what it's like to raise girls. I laughed a lot. If you're wondering how you're going to do it, how you're going to deal with all the pink, and tea parties, and dolls, etc, this is a book that somehow empathizes with you and reassures you that it's all going to turn out great, even if you don't know what you're doing. And the author is a fan of the Cincinnati Reds as well, so you know he's smart (or at the very least, devoted).

Oh how this book rings true!!! June 3 2013
By AmyVedunyWriter - Published on Amazon.com

I love this. LOVE it. My husband gave me an evil glare and said "Not funny" when I told him the title of this book. Our daughters nearly put him in an early grave! After recovering from the PTSD my comment evoked, he agreed this fabulous gem is a must and should be sold among survival guide manuals! If you are about to embark on the raising of a daughter- this book will certainly help!
