About the Author
Brian A. Klems is a writer, husband, softball player, perennial fantasy sports underachiever, and father of three lovely little girls. He's a proud graduate of the journalism school at Ohio University. He's also the online editor of Writer's Digest magazine. When he isn't explaining the differences between "who" and "whom" on his "The Writer's Dig" blog or mowing his lawn (two weeks later than he should have), he's likely playing "Ring Around the Rosy" with his daughters. Klems takes you through all of the challenges a new father with a daughter faces. There's the sudden surprise in the delivery room when you realize that little baby doesn't have a penis. You have a girl!! Then there are the joys of diaper changing and accepting the color pink that now covers your house and your daughter. As your little girl gets older, instead of G.I. Joe, Transformers and baseball, she discovers Dora, Disney princesses and ballet.
What's a dad to do? Klems feels your pain and offers some wonderful humorous tips and insight.
In the end,(if you haven't already) you realize what a joy and blessing a daughter is.
-Paul McKibben, Cincinnati journalist and proud father of a daughter
