The Grossest Horror Collection of all Time!, May 27 2010
By Bob Chaplin - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Brain Cheese Buffet (Paperback)
Finally! A short story collection focusing on the grossest Edward Lee has to offer.
Warning right up front, if you are squeamish, easily offended, or like your books to have neat, nice, happy endings - stay far away! This is, easily, the grossest, most shocking, most perverse collection of short fiction ever published. But don't think this is all dark, nihilistic horror. The beauty of Lee is that as he murders, dismembers, and rapes his way through the stories - there is an overwhelming sense of fun.
Lee may make you dry heave but you'll be laughing at the same time.
I've been a huge Edward Lee fan for years but unfortunately most of his best and grossest stories have been exceptionally difficult and/or expensive to track down. I am so happy that there is finally a cheap paperback with all these awesome pieces of perversity!

Brain Cheese Buffet is probably even more hardcore than Monica J. O' Rorke's last short story collection. That's hardcore kids.
If Stephen King has ever grossed you out... don't read this.
Surgeon's forced to craft monstrosities at gunpoint, sex with torsos, and bad, bad rednecks all wait around the corner.
If you can handle all the gore, this turns out to be a very funny, even clever, collection of some of the best Hardcore Horror ever written.

Prepare to have nightmares from reading a really sick, twisted and brutal book thats absolutely great! You have a collection of super disgusting and disturbing stories that may have your breakfast buffet saying hello again. But its great, you can't put it down or wait to see what new level of debauchery is in the next tale. But its not just a puke fest, the stories are compelling and very good reads. Even if you think its above your tolerance level, give it a chance because its a damn good book that transcends gore and has some really good stories.
