A gentle slice of life, introspective and well-written. It held my interest, the characters were believable and I could empathize with their troubles. The prose was genuine, strong and even wistful at times. I found it a satisfying piece of fiction.

Surreal. Compelling.
One loses a child and suddenly and thereafter, the world makes no sense.
"Once the tears reached the river the reflection distorted and then reshaped..."
Must re-read this deceptively simple tale...

I was given a preview read of one of the short stories in this book called PEELING APPLES. If any of the other stories read like that one, then you are in for a treat. Thought-provoking and engaging, the stories draw you in with great insight and candor. A great coffee table book or gift idea!
