This movie was one of my favourite ones when I was a young child, but even now I can still remember without being told that I watched it many, many times. I loved it and I don't think I'll ever forget it simply because it was such a great and memorable little movie.

This movie is without a doubt a classic, The animation is fun, the characters are loveable, and it has a rawness to it that children's movies of recent are lacking severely. That all being said, the dvd quality is absolute rubbish. Disney did a terrible job transferring this made for TV movie. The camera seems shaky and the light is flickering for most of the film. If nostalgia is your thing and you like viewing things in it's native format resolution, then by all means, pick this film up, but if you are like me, and want to see your childhood favourites restored and ready for a whole new generation, you may want to wait for the blu-ray.

I loved this movie the first time I saw it and so I bought the VHS for my children several years ago. Now I have a grandchild who's just as enthralled with the story as the rest of us. This humble little movie teaches basic values about friendship and helping one another. It also teaches that old "stuff" is not garbage just because it's no longer in style and we don't always need to have everything in our lives new. If I had to pick only one video for children to watch this would be my choice.
