My mom had this book and I had copied so many recipes out of it, I finally just had to buy my own. She is on her second copy. This is hands down my favorite bread machine book. The Sunday Morning Apricot Bread, Apple Butter Wheat, Onion Soup Bread, Sauerkraut Rye...all big winners. The garlic-cheese rolls should be illegal. Fluffy, light, buttery...mmmmmm.
PS My loaves have never collapsed or been overly salty (and I'm sensitive to that), but they do require a bit more flour. This is probably due to my machine and not the recipes, which are well-tested.

I have been using basic recipes for a long time with much success and so decided to get a cookbook with more interesting recipes. I thought that this one looked good, but was totally wrong. I have tried seven different recipes now and all have flopped. The tops always cave in and every one has been too salty. Perhaps I could adjust the measurements, but I feel like it is the job of the authors to get it right in the first place.

I've used a number of recipes from this book, as well as from "More Bread Machine Magic" , and they've all turned out excellent. I follow the instructions to the letter, being particularly careful to not scoop flour and to measure all the ingredients as exactly as I can. I'm not sure why one of the previous reviewers is having problems, but if she says the tops always cave in, then either her machine is not good or she's doing something wrong. Maybe she should buy the "Bread Machine Magic Book of Helpful Hints".
