As others have noted, the hinges are so tiny it's a surprise the prototype didn't break the first time they tried to open it. Mine arrived looking like it was in pristine condition, shipping box in mint condition even, yet the little hinges had somehow been over stressed (probably from moving along the assembly line) and were both completely broken upon arrival. I even waited a full day before opening the package since it was very cold when delivered but that made no difference.

I have placed a request for a 'replacement' but since they are out of stock, I am left wondering if I will receive what I ordered and paid for. The agent offered to keep an eye on the stock for the next several weeks and noted my account for follow up. I certainly hope there is at least a 're-issue' of the 'drum' for these as the original is definitely less than sturdy construction. For a 'collector's set', one would expect a higher standard of manufacturing.

This box set is what every TV series should have: quality, a lot of bonus, and a cool looking box.

Breaking Bad is one of the best show I've seen and easily a 5/5 stars. The characters are very well developed, the story and the seasons just get better and better without any "weak" seasons.
There is also a lot of bonus included in this set (including uncensored and extended version of some episodes).

But why a 4 stars if it is the perfect box of one of the best TV series ever ? I'm a French Canadian and the description said "Billingual" and in the "Dubbed" section, it is written "French, Spanish". But what isn't said is that only the last two season (5 and Final) are in French, the first four are only in English (with French subtitles). I would have liked to see this in the description since I thought they were all in French (which is unfortunate to some non-English speaking French Canadians).

If you don't already have the series on Blu-Ray, this is what you should buy.

What can be said about this spectacular saga that hasn't been said before? One of the very
few series that competes with the best films in history for achievement in cinematic storytelling.
Like a great novel slowly unfolding, it's funny, heartbreaking, incredibly tense, deeply disturbing.

A nebbishy high-school science teacher finds he has lung cancer, so becomes a meth dealer to
make money for his family before his death. Often visually stunning, with a breathtaking
performance by Brian Cranston in the lead, and great work from all the supporting roles,
this portrait of a man's decent into hell couldn't be much better, and it just grows darker and
more disturbing each year.

In a way, thematically it recalls "The Godfather I and II" in how that epic charts Michael's journey
from innocence to darkness, along with the moral murkiness of the endless drive for money
and success - how we lose ourselves, so that succeeding and having ever more becomes an
end in itself for which we will pay any price, rather than a route to happiness, trapping us in a
game we can never win.

Kudos too, to creator Vince Gilligan to have the courage to end the show at just the right time
rather than string it out past where the story would bear. It may take a few episodes to get into,
but you oweit to yourself to try. This is powerful, important and utterly enthralling stuff.

As for this box-set, at the current price of $198 it's not the rip off some of these sets are.
To buy all 6 sets on blu-ray would cost nearly as much, and there are some cool extras
here for fans of that sort of thing. That said, if you already have much of the series, the extras
may not be so amazing as to warrant a double dip.

I followed this series on television when it came out. It was a addicting good cop/bad guy scenario that kept me rooting for the criminal because of the one element that we all can relate to. The characters love for his family continued to bring this hero/villain to the spot light. I bought the series because this is one series I am certain I will watch in the future at my leisure. Many different life lessons in this series of life and how unpredictable life really is.

Recently they had this Black Friday sale everywhere and I bought it at BestBuy for 279$ Me and my girlfriend watched the 4 first seasons on Netflix and we wanted to get the boxset anyway (I just like collecting cool boxset). This one is certainly the best of my collection. It's even better than the Marvel suitcase with The Avengers and all the individual movies. Breaking Bad is certainly the best drama I watched. I was hesitant at first but then I couldn't stop watching them. We watched the last season in 2 days (4 episodes and then the rest in almost 6 hours straight).

The boxset itself is great quality. I actually like the way they split the CD with discs of glass (almost like a petri dish). There's another CD in under the top lid with 2 hours documentary (we'll watch it soon).

It's an awesome product and if you can get your hand on it in sale just jump on it.
