Format:Audio CD
This CD isn't my favorite Colbie Caillat CD; I preferred Coco but it is still a good CD.
1.I Won't: This is a good song with of course her rich beautiful vocal performance that we've come to expect. This song is another self-reflective song which she is so good at doing.
2.Droplets: I liked the collaboration with Jason Reeves...sounded great together...compatible voices. This had a pop sound to me and I think it would actually have been a better song if it were a slower ballad. However the harmonies are lovely.
3.I Never Told You: This is one of my favorite songs on this CD. I love her vocal on this song.....so sweet. The guitar work is always exceptionally done on most Colbie Caillat CD's and that's true on this song. What beautiful lyrics....one's of longing of a lost love.
4.Fearless: Wow what a song of tortured love lost......love the instrumental arrangement of this song. The lyrics are just heart rendering. It's interesting to me how most great songs are ones of love lost...that's true here also.
5.Break Through: Love the percussion in this song. Her voice sounds so good on this song. This song has a country feel to me more than some of the other songs she has done. It switches to a more pop sounding song after the intro.
6.Breakin At The Cracks: This is my other favorite song on this CD. Just so well written & her vocal interpretation is just gorgeous! This song is a 10++++++++++ rating to me!

Catchy but unique

This was my first time experiencing Colbie other then her singles on the radio from her first CD. I didn't buy her first CD but I was itching for something new & saw this listed in the new releases so after previewing some songs I decided to buy it. So glad I did. Colbie has a wonderful voice. The songs are very catchy but just different enough to make them stand apart from everything on the radio today. It's rare I can say I enjoyed every song on a CD but in this case, I did! It's full of talent from the songwriting, the music & her lovely voice!

Anyone who owns Colbie's 1st CD won't be disappointed or surprised in her sophomore effort. After first listen, I can see where a few singles might come from this album. It's a light, fun, easy listen. She's not reinventing herself and I'd prefer it no other way. I'll be listening to this for awhile.

I don't think Breakthrough has Colbie's "soul" that Coco had. A bit pop-ish and seems more commercial, so it didn't grab me like her first album. But no doubt it's good material and a nice second album from Colbie.
