This means our body and each one of its 75 trillion cells is being starved of oxygen. As Judith tells us, this leads to lack of energy, depressed immune systems and many of the stress-related diseases that are proliferating these days. This book gives a great overview of how breathing affects us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I highly recommend it for seasoned "breathers" and those that are new to the science.
