Bought this to replace our dying Charlescraft breadmaker of 18 years. Love our Breville convection toaster oven so decided to try their breadmaker as well, based on reviews. Loaves are big and perfectly crusty and browned. Being able to fully customize any aspect of the baking of the kneading and baking process is a HUGE bonus. The laydown paddle works perfectly. Not sure about the dry ingredient dropper mechinism. Found it hanging one day after doing a loaf and it appeared broken. Put it back into place and it appears to be ok now. Will have to keep an eye on it.

The controls and display are the easiest to see and control than any other maker on the market!! Large display shows everything in a very easy to understand way. Love the window and internal light to see how things are coming along. Worried that one paddle would not be enough to move the dough ball around but it works just fine.

One reviewer complained about the paddle scratching the bottom of the bake pan. He even included a picture of the damage on his review. The idiot had the paddle in upside down and that in itself, caused the damage. The breadmaker itself works perfectly IF YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, which clearly that reviewer did NOT do.

Best breadmaker on the market as far as I can tell.

All the breads (I've made 9 made so far) were excellent & very much appreciated by everyone who tasted them. As far as measurements I find that when it comes to the yeast I need to use less then what's indicated. I had a few rising against the little window, although they did come out fully baked. I use Robin Hood flour (White, Multi grain & Whole wheat) and the Multigrain is the most popular so far.

I've tried to make bread with chocolate chips, but even with the dispenser adding them later on in the kneading process, the chocolate completely melts/dissolves and colours the dough a bit darker. I don't really mind that there's no chips to be found because the taste of the bread is really great, it's just not what I expected. I've also made bread with sundried tomatoes, oregan & basilicum: So Yummy!

So far I'm very happy with my breadmaker, it's not hard to clean, doesn't make a lot of noise, Yes it makes the table wobble a bit, but that's normal & the smell when that bread is baking..... I'm getting hungry again :-)

like the heading says, real easy to figure out.... 1st bread machine we've owned, and were were eating bread the same day we received the unit, and it was tasty. The bin for distributing raisins, fruit etc is kinda small, so you have to be careful not to overload it. Good value. Friends have owned once for over a year, have used it hard, and gave it a thumbs up.

Have run the Breadmaker for nearly a year now. We had one paddle seize up (but it was promptly replaced by Breville) and we still use it 2 times a week and almost never buy bread from the store. You won't save money doing this (yeast is expensive) but at least you know what you are eating and waking up to fresh baked bread is a nice thing :-) Be sure to clean the paddle thoroughly after each use especially in the hinge (I occasionally oil it with some vegetable oil) and make sure your ingredients are at temperature or the bread won't rise fully. We tend to use the delay feature to allow the ingredients to reach proper temperature as our butter tends to be too cold since we keep it in the fridge. If you do, you get beautiful fresh bread every time. If this one were to break...we would buy another one.

I have only made 3 loaves of bread so far, one from the recipe book that came with the breadmaker, one wholegrain-rye recipe from a generic breadmaker book, and one from the web that was modified because I didn't have one of the major ingredients. What impressed me about this breakmaker is that all three turned out perfectly. With other breadmakers I have used the proportions of the ingredients seemed more critical. My main concern with breadmakers these days is whether they will last however (I've had 3 break down over the past 5 years and had gotten to the point where I was refusing to buy a new one). I'm hoping that by spending more on a quality machine that it will keep working for a decent amount of time. Time will tell.

Wonderful product! It seems expensive but if you are a family like mine who loves bread, you will get your money's worth. Great quality, easy to use and clean. The only thing I would suggest if you are considering buying this product is to also purchase the "300 Best Canadian Bread Machine" book. It has a of variety of recipes from basic white or brown bread to sweet or herbed bread. The reason I suggest this is because I tried the recipes in the book that came with the bread maker none of them would turn out for me. Other than that fantastic product, highly recommend!

I've had two so far, each for a year before they broke down. The first we got replaced after the computer fried as it was under warrantee, but now the replacement's tub has broken down after another year. We use it daily and it works well, but don't expect to get more than a year's work out of it if you use it regularly.

We looked into getting a new tub, but their replacement parts are almost the same cost as a new unit.
