Breville’s IKON Blender is designed to minimize food traps and blend all ingredients evenly. Don’t worry any longer about lumps at the top of the blending jug or over-blended ingredients at the bottom; the BBL600XL’s Hemisphere blade system has central blades to draw ingredients on the top down and wider blades to push ingredients on the bottom up. The motor has a 750 watt capacity, and there are five speed settings including mix, chop, blend, liquefy and puree. Preset programs for smoothies and crushed ice use pulsing at varied speeds to ensure optimum results. Make more than smoothies; the Breville IKON Blender can also prepare pesto, soup, and sauces.

Breville's IKON Blender has a sturdy die-cast aluminum base with a back-lit, single-wipe-clean control pad with no crevices for easy cleaning. A Breville assist plug and assist lid make getting the IKON Blender set up easy; simply insert your finger through the loop and pull. The 51 oz. (1.5 L) glass blending jug is scratch-resistant. Make sure to fit the jug and the blade together and lock them into place tightly before blending to prevent messes.

I love this product. I get excited every time I use it! Even the cord is well designed - easy to grab and stores away. The lid has an easy to remove loop. The blender has multiple settings like liquify, puree and smoothie. Smoothie is pre-programmed with a series of rotating speeds. It is large for a blender so a bit heavy, but I wanted glass, so was willing to accept the difference in weight from the plastic. They even supply a handle thing to help dislodge the blade. The blender also looks great.

I carefully researched blenders and finally decided on this one. I have to say that I am NOT disappointed! Best Blender Ever!! It makes wicked drinks.. either smoothies or margarita's.. i've made pudding.. and i'm going to try to make hummus tonight. So far so good.. i haven't experienced any of the leakage issues that others have mentioned. :)

After taking some time to look at all of the blenders on the market, I decided to buy the Breville Ikon blender. It is a little pricey, but its many features make it worth the extra cost. I use it almost daily to make smoothies and the results can't be beat. The ice crushing feature is really handy and I can choose to add it as a step while making my smoothies, so that the end product is always cold and refreshing. It is easy to use. It handles very well. It can be fairly noisy when I am using it while others are watching TV. It can also be a little heavy to lift when moving to and from its place on the counter. I find it easy to clean. I just place the parts in hot soapy water and then wipe them clean. The food doesn't get caught under the blades. I find it quick and easy to dismantle to wash and quick to re-assemble. Best of all, it looks super on our kitchen counter. One of those enjoyable luxuries in the kitchen!Breville Ikon Die-Cast Blender BBL600XL
