Efficient and nutritious juicing
Fruit is largely composed of water, but its selling point is its nutritional value. How do you extract the juice from fruit, without leaving the nutrients behind? Breville’s Nutri Disc and patented juicing system extract more nutrients than other juicers and transfers less than 1.8F of heat to protect enzymes and maximize nutrient absorption of select nutrients.
The uniquely designed juicing system features a feed chute that is centered over the shredding disc. This allows for more efficient juicing than systems that introduce ingredients on the side of the shredding disc.
Two speeds allow you to adjust for the type of ingredients you are using. It is suggested that when juicing a variety of ingredients with varying textures, you begin with the softer textured ingredients on low-speed then change to high speed for harder texture ingredients. If you are juicing herbs, sprouts or leafy green vegetables either wrap them together to form a bundle or juice them in the middle of a combination of ingredients on low-speed to obtain the best extraction.
An extra-wide, 3-inch across feed chute makes it possible to feed whole apples, carrots, tomatoes, and peeled oranges into the juicer, saving you time and effort.

While juicing, you may notice juice escaping between the plastic juicer cover and the stainless steel filter bowl surround. Try pushing the Food Pusher down more slowly and using the low speed. When large quantities of fruits and vegetables, especially those with high water content such tomatoes and watermelon, are fed into the Feed Chute at a rapid rate, the stainless steel filter basket coverts these into juice so quickly that the force may cause leaking.

The extra large stainless steel feed chute and efficient stainless steel micro mesh filter mean the juice extractor juices faster, so you can prepare delicious vitamin rich juice in seconds! The feed chute accommodates fruits and vegetables up to 3"Dia, including whole apples, so you need not cut or slice most fruits and vegetables to feed them into the juicer. The motor operates at two juicing speeds for greater control: the low speed is for juicing softer fruits, such as watermelon, which have high water content, and the more powerful high speed setting is for juicing harder fruits and vegetables. This is an amazing piece of machinery! I LOVE IT! Words cannot describe how my life has changed because of this juicer. I wash the veggies, juice, and clean the juicer in under 15 minutes...and that is 1 and 1/2 liter of juice that I am talking about.
I used to own the twin gear Green Life machine, the turtle slow juicer for seniors or people who have nothing else to do in a day. Yes, the pulp is slightly drier in the twin gear machine, but the time factor is more important to me.
I also owned a single auger juicer, the Omega 8000, that one was even worse, slow, and wet pulp.
I would highly recommend the Breville for those who like tasty, healthy juice on a daily, twice daily basis. Storing juice is not recommended, even when made with the magnetic twin gears. The taste alone tells me the juice is not as good as made fresh.
Cleaning the Breville is surprisingly fast and easy without sharp corners and dangerous blades. I can clean this machine in under 5 minutes. It took 15 minutes and sometimes much more to clean the twin gear machine, and the Green Life machine was always hurting my fingers with its sharp edges in the plastic housing. And believe it or not, I also owned the Super Angel juicer, just for about 6 months. The cleaning alone took half an hour. Very poorly designed machine. Whoever designed it never juiced daily. And it is super expensive.
And I did own the Norwalk juicer for a year or so. That was a pretty and heavy duty machine. I loved the looks, but juicing was a chore and a messy one that is.
The bags got moldy, smelly very fast. Too much additional steps to get the juice out.
And when you compare prices, the Breville is much much sweeter in savings.
I will be buying this juicer for each of my kids, later this year. Forget about those expensive kitchen decorations (called plastic juicers).

The product was packaged extremely well so I wasn't concerned about any possible bumps in shipping. The juicer appears to be very well made, not like other 'disposable' appliances. It runs quietly and is easy to take apart and clean. The scrub brush that's provided for cleaning the screen and the manual that includes recipes for using the leftover fibre are nice added touches that show the company's attention to detail. I highly recommend this juicer.

I ended up reading about 50 reviews before I decided to make this purchase myself. To sum it up, its every bit as good as the 5 star reviews say. If you can dedicate about 15min a day to the routine, the health pay backs will no doubt be worth it. I say 15 because there is usally some food prep time (5min) and the rest to clean up (10min).
Pros: Looks great, super powerful motor, quiter than I had expected (many reviews stated it was really loud - clearly subjective), juice yield, ease of cleaning
Cons: There arent any. It was every bit as good as the reviews told me.
Tip: Using a plastic produce bag/shopping bag in the pulp collection container eliminates one piece to clean when you are all done.
